The most important work

May 17, 2013

Here’s a life-changing idea…

“Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work.” –John Trainer

In other words…

We all get focused on our tasks. We get annoyed with our children when they interrupt us. We may put them off telling them we will listen to them later. Sometimes we tell them to handle the problem on their own. Often we go from one task to another, forgetting to take time for our children. It may seem to our children that they are not important to us.

Here’s how you can use this idea to have a better life…

Next time your child invites you to be a part of his or her life, stop what you’re doing. Enjoy the time together. Show them that they are important to you by being a part of their world.
