Filling them with goodness

October 26, 2011

A Great Idea …

“Each time I choose to be kind instead of cruel, to understand rather than judge, to accept rather than reject, my children, no matter their ages, are nourished and grow stronger.” (Jon and Myla Kabat-Zinn in their book, Everyday Blessings, p. 9)

In Other Words …

It is easy to get caught up in managing, controlling, correcting, and disciplining children. All of those leave the most important parenting task undone: filling them with goodness.

How This Applies to You …

Think of one of your children who may be running on empty—feeling discouraged and lost. Decide on something you can do to bless and nurture that child.
