The best way to experience more positive emotions in our lives is to be actively looking for good things. When we look for positive things and then take time to savor and dwell on them, we will find that our lives are more filled with joy and happiness.

Try these things to increase your positivity:

Surround yourself at work and home with objects and pictures that you love. You might include pictures of cherished people and times.

Keep a log or journal of best experiences. Try to find a least one notable event every day.

Look for the good. Enjoy friends’ smiles. Savor lunch. Take a deep breath of fresh air.
